What to do: Create useful newsletters that people will want to subscribe to. Don’t think that their social media following is enough. An additional communication channel will not hurt you. 3. Don’t splurge on useless social media

Yes, SMM is a must-have. No, we do not call for abandoning social networks. The point is that not all sites will be useful specifically for your business, not everywhere there is your audience.

4. Check Influencers Carefully

But before you follow their lead (and even if you’ve tried influencer marketing before), look out for subtle dangers.

There are a lot of offers on the market, and the prices for advertising integration are going up and up. A year ago, most bloggers would have been happy to work with you on a barter basis, but now, most likely, such an offer will not even be considered. No wonder there are scammers here. Unfortunately, you can fall for unscrupulous bloggers who wind up likes and subscribers, edit screenshots of statistics in Photoshop and pass off an absolutely “dead” profile as a promising advertising platform.

What to do: First of all, pay attention to engagement. It is suspicious if on a page with a million subscribers there are 1000 likes under the posts. An excellent ratio of followers to likes is 10%, lower values are allowed (5-6%).

However, in this way you can weed out only the most “clumsy” deceivers. Most people use likes and comments, and at first glance, the profile may look cheerful. But take a closer look at the quality of the comments and the pages from which they are sent. If the audience leaves only emoticons and monosyllabic phrases “beauty”, “super”, “class”, then it’s probably a cheat. Also, twisted profiles are often with photos of celebrities on the profile picture, intricate foreign names, or even with Arabic script in the header.

There are paid services that allow you to determine the likelihood that the profile was cheated. But if you give the issue more time and attention, you yourself will be able to figure out the deceiver, just look at the profile.

Do not trust the reviews that the blogger sends you, look for them yourself in independent chats (for example, the Instagram chat in Telegram).
