Every winter colleges are closed for two to four weeks at least. This could be a great opportunity for students to make some extra money that can pay their student loans and reduce debt.

Most of the students are too self-respecting to ask their parents for the money. Therefore they decide to go out and work.

Well! I have mentioned 20 such jobs that students can easily find in their neighborhood. These jobs are easy to find and pay you generously.

I have mentioned all kinds of jobs, blue-collar jobs like carwash, landscaping etc … as well as white-collar like freelance writing, blogging etc.

1. Paid Winter Internship

Winter breaks are usually 4 weeks to 6 weeks long depending upon the state you are living in. Career counselors advise students to use this time to learn necessary skills and become productive by gaining experience.

One way you can do so is by taking up paid winter internship. Students can check websites like LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdooretc for openings.

2. Apply for Scholarship

Scholarships can help students pay for tuition and school expenses for the coming years.

Students can search for scholarships on websites like Chegg, CollegeXpress etc. But the best way to find scholarships is to look for college scholarship contests in your state.

3. Campus Jobs

You can look for temporary job position on the college campuses. You can fill in for some of the regular staffs who are out on vacation.

You can find jobs in bookstore, shops and campus offices. You can easily earn $8 – $9 an hour.

4. Receptionist

Female students can apply for receptionist jobs. As a receptionist you will answer phone calls, make calls and greet people whenever they enter the establishment.
