Either way, I think you are beautiful, whatever imperfections you are struggling with! I used to have very irritated and red skin, and it wasn’t after I stopped with old habits that I could see changes in my skin. I changed my diet, swapped sugary drinks with water, and stayed away from skincare products with harmful ingredients and started using the best COSRX products. Many of the reasons for skin problems are caused by inflammation in the body, which can be because of a poor diet and not enough water.
Long Hot Shower is a Bad Thing
Do you love long hot showers? It is always nice to have a steamy shower, but did you know that it’s not that good for your skin? This is because warm water will remove natural oil and moisturizer from you skin. I recommend limiting the water to 15 minutes and keep the water cool.
Dry Skin
Are you fed up with dryness in your skin? If you struggle with dry skin, a good moisturizer can help with the problem. I always moisturize my whole body before bed and after showers to keep it soft and lovely. You can check the skin dryness by rubbing any part of the body area. If you see a white mark, your skin is dry, and you can get rid of dry skin with the help of moisture and exfoliation.
Quality Moisturizers
Along as the seasons go, it is always a good idea to change out your moisturizers. Your skin requires additional moisture in the cold season as compared to summer. So always use good quality moisturizer even if it is summer or winter. Never go for cheap quality products as they may contain low quality ingredients which may damage your skin.
Clean Skin
Are you struggling to keep your skin clean? Dirty and oily fingers are the number one reason we end up with dirty skin. Therefore, it is always important to wash the hands or sanitize hand lotion to prevent bacteria from interacting with the skin. I recommend having a hand lotion in your bag at all times.
Clean Makeup Brushes
Clean your makeup brushes! It is not only dirty fingers that cause skin problems. Uncleansed sponges and brushes carry a lot of bacteria as well. I recommend cleaning your makeup brushes after every use.
Never Use Expiry Products
Keep your products up to date! All beauty products go out after a specific date, and it is always necessary to check the label before you start using it. There is an open jar symbol with “M06” on every product, which means that the product should be thrown out six months after you have opened it. This is known as the Period after Opening. Makeup products should also be thrown out if it’s after the PAO date.
Avoid Dehydration
Did you know that sweat is good for the skin? Sweat is nature’s way of eliminating toxic chemicals that can build up under the skin, so if you have a burning sensation in your face after a workout, it is only a good sign.
Drink loads of water and eat healthily! Know that hydration boosts are a big help with the distribution of nutrients all over the body. Check Sky MD. This one you should already know; it is no secret that a good diet will keep your skin healthy. It is effortless to make a change on this point, just cut out sugary drinks by drinking water and stay away from sweets! I am sure you will see a difference after a week if you try these changes.
Avoid Makeup Wipes
Makeup wipes are bad for your skin! I always used makeup wipes before bed and never thought about what kind of damage it could do to my skin. You find different types of makeup wipes containing “natural” ingredients, but these aren’t based on 100% natural ingredients. Why do you think it smells so nice? It’s full of perfume and other harmful chemicals. I had a discussion with one of the experts at Makeup Fredericton, and she told me about this. I have always struggled with redness, and I now knew what the reason was. I have never used the wipes again, and my skin feels so much better!
Use Natural Soap and Cleanser
I recommend cleaning the face with water and a bar of natural soap or cleanser, especially if you have susceptible skin. You can also find other cleansing products based on natural ingredients and for your type of skin, but always do some research first before you try it.
