Nathan has been a supportive friend for Annie throughout the journey, but Annie’s tantrum shoved him off. The film ended with how Annie stopped blaming the world for her problems and took control of her life, eventually reconcile with Helen, Nathan and Lilian on her wedding day.

Phil Connors is a cynical television weatherman covering the annual Groundhog Day event who suddenly trapped in a time loop that nobody is aware of. As a result, he is forced to relive February 2nd in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, repeatedly. Phil became depressed for not escaping the loop at first but later found meaning to the loop by living it to the fullest. Started by seducing his colleague Rita, whom he eventually fell for sincerely, he finally escaped the time loop and moved on the February 3rd when Rita finally reciprocate his feelings.
